Product Description
The Monel 400 90° Elbow Pipe Fittings boast an impressive chemical composition that imparts remarkable properties to this unique alloy.
Designed with durability, corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures in mind, the alloy features a unique mixture of nickel and copper alongside smaller quantities of iron and manganese. The high nickel content (around 63%) ensures remarkable resistance to
sulfuric acid and alkalis, whereas iron and manganese enhance their structural stability and tensile strength. This performance-driven combination makes Monel 400 suitable for various industrial applications, including oil refineries, gas processing facilities, and petrochemical industries.
400 Monel 90° Elbow Pipe Fittings showcase an impressive blend of properties that make them highly sought after in various industrial applications. Characterized by their exceptional strength, remarkable corrosion resistance, and ease of welding, these fittings quickly adapt to multiple environments. One of the most outstanding qualities of Monel 400 is its ability to resist freshwater and saltwater corrosion, making it ideal for marine engineering projects such as in the construction of ships and seawater desalination systems. Additionally, their superb resistance to acids and alkalis equips them for utilization in the chemical processing industry, where they can withstand highly corrosive environments. Moreover, their low thermal expansion coefficient allows these fittings to maintain structural integrity under extreme temperature fluctuations, assuring reliability in critical systems, such as heat exchangers and nuclear reactors. Thanks to technological advancements, Monel 400 90° Elbow Pipe Fittings remain a top choice for engineers and industries seeking reliable and durable solutions.
MONEL 400 STRIP FINISHES
#1 - Monel 400 is hot rolled annealed and descaled. It is available in strip, foil and ribbon. It is used for applications where a smooth decorative finish is not required.
#2D - Dull finish Alloy 400 produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. Used for deep drawn parts and those parts that need to retain lubricants in the forming process.
#2B - Smooth finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. A light cold rolling pass is added after anneal with polished rolls giving it a brighter finish than 2D.
#BA- Bright annealed cold rolled and bright annealed
#CBA- Course bright annealed cold rolled matte finish and bright anneal
#2 - Cold Rolled Monel 400 Finish
#2BA- Smooth finish produced by cold rolling and bright annealing. A light pass using highly polished rolls produces a glossy finish. A 2BA finish may be used for lightly formed applications where a glossy finish is desired in the formed part.
Polished - Various grit finish for specific polish finished requirements.
* Not all finishes are available in all alloys - Contact Ulbrich Sales for more information.
